Digital EarthLONDON, England - Digital Earth Inc and Kadme AS today announce the start of their cross-marketing Joint Venture. Under the Joint Venture, Digital Earth will utilize Kadme’s core search and mapping modules for its global energy industry information portal, while Kadme will have access to Digital Earth’s social search and unstructured data solutions for its own enterprise clients. An early prototype of the system is unveiled today at the EAGE in London, England.

“It was clear that Kadme had already developed the core software modules that deliver the functionality, flexibility and scalability we needed for our global energy-centric search portal”, stated John Redfern, Chairman of Digital Earth. “We saw an excellent opportunity to accelerate our own time to market by leveraging Kadme’s software. We are convinced that Kadme’s deep domain experience in working with data from oil companies and national archives will help facilitate the creation of a data service that seamlessly brings public and enterprise data together”.

“When we met the team from Digital Earth, we knew that we had the perfect partner to leverage and expose our software at a global scale”, replied Gianluca Monachese, Managing Director of Kadme. “Digital Earth experience founding and running a number of data companies and the engineering knowledge they bring from places like Amazon is the ideal complement to Kadme’s own business development activities and sharpens the e-commerce capabilities we can offer to our clients”.
