We are pleased to welcome Alan MacDonald to KADME as our salesmanager for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Alan joins us from Enigma Data Solutions, and is based in Buckinghamshire,  UK.  He has previously worked for Xerox, Oracle and Computer Associates and ran his own consultancy company for 6 years.

Alan has been involved in Data Management within Oil E&P for a number of years.  His particular desire is that software should be fit for purpose and provide business value and that there should be a good working agreement between supplier and client.  His focus is on the commercial benefit a client gains from a solution and how readily it can be deployed within an organisation.

Alan trained as a metallurgist then moved from his native Glasgow to London to read for a BA in Theology.  He speaks passable English, kindergarten Swedish, schoolboy French and has a vague memory of New Testament Greek.

Away from the office Alan likes rolling his own cigarettes, supporting Glasgow Rangers, reading anything from a rail timetable to Proust, cooking spicy food and taking his children to, variously, ballet, rugby and riding.
