Posted on July 18, 2011

The E&P Data and Information Management Conference (ECIM) and user meeting 2011 will be held 12-14 September at the Rica Martim Hotel in Haugesund, Norway. As our clients and colleagues can attest, this annual event has emerged to be the most substantial conference and meeting place in Europe for IM professionals.

The ECIM’2011 Conference and User Meeting will focus on the following topics:

• Enterprise Information Management (EIM)
• GIS
• Drilling, Production and Reservoir DM
• Exploration & Development
• Collaboration & Standardization
• Vendor and Services

The workstream programme has now been published, and KADME has been selected to present two papers.

First, we are co-presenting a paper and case study with our client, Statoil, in the Drilling, Production and Reservoir Data Management workshop session, moderated by Christine McKay of Mærsk Oil. The presentation, entitled, “Getting things done. Automated data tracking from Rig to Resource“, will be co-presented by Anders Bager, Project Data Manager at Statoil, and Dr. Vasily Borisov, Director of Technology at KADME. They will tantalize the audience with a presentation of new developments Statoil is making automating the business rules of data flows to create visibility and enable control. This is the premier presentation of the GeoTracker project KADME is developing for Statoil. Anders and Vasily are including a demonstration of GeoTracker in the workshop!

For the Vendors and Services workstream, Vasily Borisov is presenting: “Whereoil: Much more than the Oil & Gas Search Engine“. Dr. Borisov will explain how the Whereoil technology can help you find, submit and report the data you need. We will present new Whereoil projects, developments and use cases.

But before the conference begins there should be time for some socialization and fun. Which is why we are hosting an afternoon cruise from Haugesund to the lovely island of Røvær on Monday, 12 September prior to the opening of the ECIM. The Røværfjord boat will depart from Rica Maritim Hotel at 13:00 and return at 17:00. Join us at 12:30 to board the boat, grab a drink, and meet other conference participants. There will be refreshments both on board and at Røvær. Register soon, as places are limited to the first 80 people to sign up through their ECIM registration!
