Spatial Data Management

We will work with you to define your corporate GIS strategy and design your entire spatial data infrastructure. Recent research has shown that 80 per cent of oil and gas data has an explicit geo-spatial component, and the remaining 20 per cent is related to a geographic location. For implementation we can use either ESRI’s ArcSDE or Open Source PostGIS.

Our GIS consultants are able to help you with the more challenging aspects of the deployment and use of GIS technologies and with their successful integration with your company’s existing business processes. All our consultants have experience in the oil and gas industry and have education and grounding in Geology and Geography.

GIS HelpLine

Do you have a GIS expert on staff fewer than 5 days per week? We understand our clients want to make the most out of their resources, which is why KADME offers an optional subscription service to complement on-site GIS consultants as well as offer GIS assistance to companies without a GIS resource. The service allows you to reach a KADME GIS expert to solve problems outside of your regular GIS consultant’s time, for up to ten hours per month of remote support and services. Extra time for remote assistance and on-site intervention is also available.

GIS Custom Development

Our team of IT and GIS experts, with a long track record in the development of oil and gas information management systems, has a vast portfolio of skills. This allows KADME to deliver custom GIS applications using any development platform, including ESRI ArcObjects and Java. We also develop Geoprocessing tools based on the new ESRI ArcGIS 10.

Special Projects

We enjoy challenges! Do you have a project you’ve been thinking about doing, but just don’t know the how/what/where/when of how to get started? We can advise you on what’s possible. A recent project we completed for a client was an interactive petroleum map for the Norwegian Oil Museum. The map combines public data sources (from the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate, or NPD) with the Museum’s own internal informational articles to render a full overview of the oil and gas assets relevant to the country’s energy industry.
