The Whereoil application program interface (API) has been used to create the License Analyzer. The application extracts and combines public data to show which operating companies and partners have been awarded which licenses on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. The License Analyzer application enables you to explore license blocks over time and see how the license operator or partner history has evolved.

Whereoil 4 features a wealth of new functions and capabilities to improve your understanding of your task. It offers faster and more flexible searching, increased usability and front-end configuration options, a new viewer for well logs and a module for controlling well-log quality during loading or when new data is discovered in the system.
Powerful search capabilities with spatial queries
The geosearch functionality brings project data and scattered reports and files together geographically. Georeferencing and geotagging of documents associate their information with a specific location and link it to other project information.
Enhanced user configuration and increased usability
In Whereoil 4, users can define and create a company-specific entry page with graphs and charts to monitor operations such as file downloads and data throughput. Each Whereoil user can have a profile that enables the definition and saving of table views, for example, column sequence and column hiding. When conducting a filtered search, Whereoil 4 uses colors to highlight queries and make it easier to spot the results. Specific searches can be saved for later or shared with other users. If a particular table is defined as part of the search, it too will be saved.
Improved well log insight – New viewer and quality flags
The built-in viewers in Whereoil let you quickly assess the status of the data you have found before downloading it or entering it into a project. The new Whereoil Log View shows logs in an industry-standard format and lets you perform thorough quality checks on the log curves through functionality such as edit curve appearance, scaling, zooming, add or delete curves from view and thumbnail view. It has also been updated to preview LIS/DLIS files.
The Log QC module analyzes the information on loading and creates flags to indicate where there are problems with log headers (metadata) and curves, for example, curve values that are out of range and washouts. The quality control (QC) flags can be seen as part of the standard table view and used to filter the searches. If Log View is available, the flags will be shown in the log track or in a separate track with an explanation.
The Connectors that link you to your data are very important parts of Whereoil. These Connectors crawl and index your data sources regularly, thereby making all data accessible to key applications. This enables you to access data easily from a vast range of sources, including files on network shares, document management systems, application data and external data sources.

GeoTracker is a well-log data tracker developed to simplify the well-reporting process of a major Norwegian operator. It facilitates reporting of well data to the regulatory authorities through its monitoring functionality. This provides the broadest possible overview for tracking well log data information, wherever it resides.
Based on KADME’s Whereoil framework, the GeoTracker system consists of two main components. The first manages reporting requirements, thereby enabling administrators to define the entire reporting workflow. The second monitors the process to ensure that users can view the reporting status at any time. All tasks are tracked and shared with the relevant parties.
The KADME training and support team has significant experience and domain expertise in data management and IT. Dedicated technical project managers ensure successful client installations and initial training.
